Option A: Login with Xtream Codes API (recommended)

This is the best choice. Smarters then automatically loads live TV, films, series and the TV guide.

1. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
2. Any name: type something recognisable, for example Genova TV.
3. Username and Password: enter them exactly as you received them. They're case-sensitive.
4. URL: the server address, including `http://` and the port number if there is one, for example `http://server.example:8080`.
5. Tap Add user. Smarters now downloads the channel list, the films and the series. The first time this can take a minute.

Option B: Load your playlist or file/URL (M3U)

Only have an M3U link? Choose Load your playlist or file/URL, select M3U URL, give it a name and paste the full link. This works, but you often miss the neat split between films and series, and you may need to add the TV guide separately. If your provider offers Xtream Codes, use that.

Step 3: Load the TV guide (EPG)

After logging in, Smarters shows a dashboard with tiles for Live TV, Movies, Series and Catch up.

• Tap the Install EPG or Refresh EPG button if Smarters asks for it. With Xtream Codes the guide comes from your provider automatically.
• Open Live TV, choose a channel group and pick a channel. The guide shows what's on now and next.

1. Settings → Player selection. The built-in player works for most people. If a channel stutters or has no sound, try switching to the other player option, or to VLC as an external player.
2. Settings → Stream format. If a channel refuses to play, switch between MPEG-TS and HLS. One of the two almost always works.
3. Settings → Automation. Enable automatic refresh of the channel list and EPG, for example once a day, so new channels show up by themselves.
4. Favourites. Long-press a channel or tap the heart icon to add it to your favourites. On TVs with thousands of channels, this saves a lot of scrolling.
5. Parental control. Under Settings → Parental control you can lock adult categories with a PIN. Recommended if children use the TV.

• "Invalid username or password": check capital letters and look for a space at the end. Copy and paste the details if you can.
• "Server not responding" or nothing happens after Add user: the URL is usually wrong. Check `http` versus `https` and the port number.
• Films and series are empty: you probably logged in via M3U. Log in again with Xtream Codes.
• Picture freezes: use a cable or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, close other streaming apps and try the other stream format.
