MyTVOnline 3 review 2026: the reason to buy a Formuler
If you buy a Formuler box, you no longer have to choose an IPTV app: MyTVOnline is already on it and starts straight up in your channels.
Z12 series gets MyTVOnline 4
The newest Formuler boxes (Z12 series) now have MyTVOnline 4, with a new home screen and profiles. The basics — portals, M3U, guide and recording — work as described in this review; older boxes such as the Z11 series keep using MyTVOnline 3.

MyTVOnline: very good
MyTVOnline 3 is the main reason to buy a Formuler box: a complete IPTV app that's already on it, with portal and M3U support, an excellent guide, recording and timeshift, with no subscription or activation fees. The only limitation is also the biggest: it doesn't run anywhere else.

The app supports all the usual login methods — a portal with a MAC address, Xtream Codes or an M3U playlist — and offers features you pay for with other apps: recording to USB, timeshift, catch-up and a film library. The closest thing to old-fashioned cable TV
MyTVOnline is built to feel like a cable TV receiver: the box starts up in live TV, channel hopping works with the number keys and the guide responds instantly. The sport watchlist is unique: mark a match in the guide and the box turns it into its own channel group that jumps along automatically as soon as the broadcast starts.
VOD is neatly handled too, with covers, IMDb information and seasons sorted by series — provided your subscription includes films and series.
Recording and timeshift at no extra cost
Where TiviMate asks for premium to record, it's simply included with Formuler: connect USB storage and you can record programmes, scheduled or straight away, and pause live TV with timeshift.
Catch-up works through the guide if your provider supports it: older programmes get a marker and you start them straight from the overview.
MyTVOnline 3 or 4: which do you have?
In 2026 Formuler rolled out MyTVOnline 4 for the Z12 series, with a new home screen, up to four profiles and recommendations. The Z11 series and Z mini stay on MyTVOnline 3, which continues to get updates.
For everyday use it makes little difference: connections, guide, recording and watchlist work the same in both versions. Always check which version your box is running when you update; setting up goes through the same Content Manager.

What can MyTVOnline do?
MyTVOnline exists only on Formuler boxes; you can't install it separately on another TV or box. Conversely, a Formuler is a full Android TV box, so apps such as TiviMate run on it too. Most Formuler owners still stick with MyTVOnline: it's the only app so closely woven into the remote and the box.

How to install MyTVOnline on Formuler box
- Start up your Formuler box; MyTVOnline opens by itself and asks for a connection.
- Choose "Add Portal" for a portal (MAC or username) or "Add M3U Playlist" for an M3U link.
- Using a MAC portal? Then give the MAC address on the screen to your IPTV provider.
- Enter the portal URL or M3U link you got from your provider and choose Connect.
- Wait for the channels, guide and films to load.
- Want to record or use timeshift? Connect a USB stick or hard drive and select it as recording storage in the settings.
