IPTV Smarters Pro review 2026: the free all-rounder
IPTV Smarters Pro is the best-known IPTV app worldwide, mainly because it runs on everything: Android TVs and boxes, the Fire TV Stick, iPhone and iPad, Apple TV, Samsung and LG TVs, and Windows and Mac.

IPTV Smarters Pro is no longer on Google Play. You get the official APK from iptvsmarters.com; on iPhone and Apple TV the official app is called "Smarters Player Lite". Copies with almost the same name aren't from the maker.

IPTV Smarters Pro is the safest choice if you watch on lots of different devices or don't want to pay. The app is free, runs on almost everything and is easiest to log in to with Xtream Codes. The TV guide and interface aren't as polished as TiviMate's, but as an all-rounder there's nothing better.

Since the app was removed from Google Play, you install it on Android via the official APK from iptvsmarters.com; on Apple devices it's in the App Store as Smarters Player Lite. Why IPTV Smarters is so widely used
Many IPTV providers write their instructions around IPTV Smarters by default, because it's the app most likely to work on your device. Logging in with Xtream Codes is one screen: server, username, password, done.
The app automatically splits your subscription into live TV, films and series, with covers and descriptions. That makes it feel more like a streaming service than a bare channel list.
Removed from Google Play: what does that mean?
Google removed IPTV Smarters Pro from the Play Store in 2023. Nothing changed about the app itself: the maker has distributed it through its own site since, and the Apple, Samsung and LG versions are still in their stores.
It does mean that on Android you install the APK yourself. Only do so via iptvsmarters.com: there are lots of fake versions with almost the same name, sometimes bundled with junk. Check the address before you download.
Where the app is weaker
The TV guide is functional but not fast: with large playlists it loads slowly and the overview is smaller than TiviMate's or OTT Navigator's. If you mostly watch via the guide, you'll notice that every day.
The app doesn't support a Stalker portal (logging in with a MAC address); for that you need IBO Player or TiviMate. And because the interface is the same on every device, the controls on a TV sometimes feel like an inflated phone app.

How to install IPTV Smarters on Fire TV Stick
- Install the free "Downloader" app from the Amazon Appstore and, in the settings, allow apps from unknown sources.
- Open Downloader and enter the official APK link from iptvsmarters.com.
- Install the APK and open IPTV Smarters.
- Choose "Login with Xtream Codes API" and enter the server name, your username and password from your IPTV subscription.
- Wait for live TV, films and series to load.
- In the settings, switch the EPG on and, if you like, choose the external player you want to use.
