StbEmu: poor
StbEmu is not a regular IPTV player. It imitates a set-top box and signs in with a MAC address, so it only suits providers that work that way. It does not take M3U playlists. Check that your subscription supports this login before you install it.

Instead of an M3U playlist or Xtream login, you set up a profile and the app identifies itself with a MAC address. The developer, M Vasilchuk, publishes a free version and a Pro version on Google Play, and a documentation site explains the settings. The developer lists no TV guide, catch-up or recording features.
What StbEmu is, and what it is not
Most IPTV apps load a playlist. StbEmu behaves like the box a provider would otherwise send you, and the provider recognises it by its MAC address. It is therefore a niche app for subscriptions built around that system.
If your provider gave you an M3U link or an Xtream login, StbEmu is the wrong tool. The developer lists M3U as unsupported.
Profiles and on-screen controls
The screenshots show a playback screen with a settings menu and on-screen buttons, and a profile settings page with an on-screen remote control. That points to an app with many options for you to adjust.
The documentation site covers each setting. Expect to spend longer on setup than with a simple M3U player.
